For more than 400 years the viola has been at the centre of the string instrument family - although not always in the centre of interest. Variable in form and size, close to the human voice, with interesting partners from the Viola d'amore to the Viola Pomposa - that is the viola.

The members of our society, be they professional musicians or amateurs, are united by their special interest in the viola. Numerous viola d'amore players are also members.
